Putting it all together

Christmas

With everything going on with preparing for Grace's arrival, Christmas completely snuck up on me. As of my last day of school, I had not touched a single Christmas decoration or purchased the first gift. So, needless to say, in between Babies R Us runs for nursery stuff, I was running around like a crazy person trying to get gifts for everyone. Mike's mom and dad came and stayed for two weeks, helping around the house and helping check things off my never-ending "TO DO" list. Reuben came and stayed for about a week. I enjoyed hosting Christmas dinner, although I was worn out when it was all said and done.

Thanksgiving (a little late)

These first few pictures are from when we went home for Thanksgiving. It was strange to think that that would be the last time we would travel to Virginia- just the two of us. The next time we go, we will be a family of three!

The Nursery

So we started working on the Nursery the first weekend in December and it is now almost done. I'm just waiting on the curtains and a skinny bookcase that my dad is making. Here are a few pictures of the progress. Reuben came and helped us put up bead board and chair railing and Mike and his dad painted the walls. It was so great to have the help! I'm going to keep you in suspense for the final picture until the room is complete.

Hmmmm...

I was trying to update my blog with a new layout, and I love the background I've chosen. I'm a bit confused. When I log into my blog on our desktop I see the bird image I had on my old layout (at the top under the title). When I log in through my laptop, there's no bird, just a bunch of green. So do you see the bird?

If you do, I don't know how to get the bird to go away. I tried and tried last night with no success. Now I'm thinking it might be easier to just leave it. So my question is this: Is my blog too "busy" with the stripes AND the bird? I just can't decide. Also, how in the world do I remove the bird?
