This Week's Projects

This one's for Cassie- She said she wanted to see my watercolor so here it is. It's not bad for my first watercolor painting since high school...I've got a ways to go to get as good as mom, but as they say, "practice makes perfect!"

I also made this easter wreath- it's super easy! I bought a straw wreath that was wrapped in plastic, and left the plastic on so it just gave me the shape I wanted. Then, using hot glue, I glued the large eggs, beginning on the inside of the wreath, and added the small eggs to fill in.

Sigh... Miss Becca, after seeing your wreath this morning, I made my mom go with me to Michael's and I bought supplies to copy you, but my finished product isn't as pretty as yours, so I am just going to tell people my daughter helped me with it lol. I made one with Christmas ornament balls on year, but they ended up falling off and breaking day by day, so I am hoping I did a better job with the glue gun this time around!

Ummmm....I would say that watercolor is pretty darn good! Better then anything I could do even with lots of practice, I am sure!

And the eggs are adorable....but I am not going to attempt that either!

That wreath is adorable. If I had 2 seconds to breathe, I would be attempting that right now! And, I totally sympathize with you on your previous posts about your kids at school. I had so many kids like that over the few years that I taught. It breaks your heart. You made me miss teaching for a few minutes. :) Keep the craft ideas coming for future seasons/holidays. I'll have more time in a couple weeks.
